Janelle Collins is the owner and founder of South Side Diabetes. Janelle has 20 years of experience working as a diabetes educator. She is a Credentialled diabetes educator with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA), a Registered Nurse (AHPRA), and holds a Masters of Nursing in Clinical Studies. Janelle also is a certified insulin pump trainer.
Janelle has worked in both paediatric and adult diabetes services in major tertiary hospitals. Janelle believes it's extremely important to treat each client as an individual, taking into consideration each person's unique needs and goals. She has a refreshing insight and an understanding of the complexities and challenges that living with diabetes involves.
Janelle lives in the Sutherland shire with her husband and three young children.
Cecile Eigenmann is a Registered Nurse (APRAH) and Credentialled Diabetes Educator (ADEA) and holds a Master in Public Health degree. She has over 25 years’ experience in diabetes education and clinical care, including insulin pump therapy, continuous and flash glucose monitoring and Gestational Diabetes.
Cecile has worked in major tertiary hospital diabetes services, most recently at St Vincent Hospital, Sydney, as well as primary health care (South Eastern Sydney Medicare Local), NGOs (Diabetes NSW) and academia (USyd & UTS).
She has been living in the Sutherland Shire for over 20 years.
Cecile is passionate about empowering people with diabetes to enable them to achieve the best possible health outcomes within their own unique circumstances
The South Side Diabetes team is completed with Jackie Fallins and Lynne Lorinczi, our friendly reception staff.
